Jesse E. Wiles, 79, a retired machinist for Kennedy Space Center, passed away Thursday, April 8, 2004, at home. Jesse was born in Dockery, N.C., and was a longtime Florida resident. He was a U.S. Army veteran of World War II and the recipient of two Bronze Stars and a Purple Heart.
Jesse was a Christian and a member of the Disabled American Veterans for over 20 years. He was an artist who enjoyed painting and wood working, and he was also a musician who played the Guitar and Banjo. Jesse is survived by his wife of 12 years, Nimia; three sons, Willlie Wiles, Joseph Wiles and Onan Orellana; a daughter, Linda Singleton; three grandchildren, Robert Wiles, Gray E. Wiles and Shawn Singleton; and two great-grandchildren. Services will be held at 4 p.m., Saturday, April 10th, at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home, with visitation one hour prior to the service in the funeral home. Burial will be at Brevard Memorial Park.
