MERRITT ISLAND -- John "Buck" Rowley, 76, a retired aerospace planner,
died Thursday, May 25, at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge.
Mr. Rowley was born in New York City. He came to Brevard County in 1967 from Long Island, N.Y. He was an Army Air Corps pilot during World War II. Mr. Rowley worked for Grumman and Lockheed aerospace companies for many years before retiring in 1993. Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Dorothy Rowley of Merritt Island; sons, John Rowley of Marlborough, Conn., and Ken Rowley of Merritt Island; daughter, Karen Rush of Port St. John; brother, Richard Rowley of Port St. Lucie; and five grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Saturday, with services following, at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home. |
