SR. PALM BAY -- Kenneth Berkey Sr., 92, a retired electrician for
Bendix Corporation at Cape Canaveral, died Sunday, June 25, at home.
Mr. Berkey was born in Jennerstown, Pa. He came to Brevard County in 1964 from Gaithersburg, Md. He was a Navy veteran of World War II. Mr. Berkey was a 32nd-degree Mason; a member of the Masonic Grand Lodge 143 in Melbourne, the Melbourne Azan Temple, South Brevard Scottish Rite Club, the Melbourne Chapter 106 of the Eastern Star; and a life member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Survivors include his son, Kenneth Berkey Jr. of Newnan, Ga.; daughters, Beverly Good of Palm Bay, Phyllis Campbell of Salisbury, Md., Edith Longo of Altoona, Pa., Eunice Weaver of Newry, Pa., and Barbara Brooke of Jacksonville; 25 grandchildren; 40 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren. No calling hours are scheduled. Memorial services will be at 2:30 p.m. Saturday at Fellowship United Methodist Church in Palm Bay.
