AIKEN TITUSVILLE -- Leon J. Aiken, 68, died Friday, February 2, 2001, at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville. Mr. Aiken was born inLeroy, Indiana, and came to Brevard County in 1971 from Huntington Beach, Calif. He was a quality engineer (Aerospace and Nuclear) for Tennessee Valley Authority; Alaska Pipe Line, and McDonnell Douglas. He
was a naval veteran of the Korean War, graduated from Indiana University
with a B. S. degree in Chemistry. As a Tennessee National Guardsmen he
served during the Desert Storm and retired with the rank of Captain. He
was a member of VFW, the American Legion, TinCan Sailors, and the
U.S.S.Epperson Assoc. Survivors include his wife of 46 and a half years,
Patricia Aiken of Titusville; daughters, Pamela Mason, Penny L.Aiken, both
of Titusville, and Gayle Lafser of Jacksonville; son-in-laws, Lawrence
Mason, and Peter Lafser; three sisters in Indiana; and a sister inGeorgia;
grandchildren, LarryMason, Virginia Austin,Vanessa Glenn, Cassandra
Lafser, and Heather Lafser; and one great-granddaughter, Natalie Rae
Austin. Military services will be held at a later date in
Arlington National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Lee Moffett Center
