| LESTER
McDUFFORD PALM BAY -- Lester McDufford, 81, an electrical engineer for
the Atlas rocket program at Cape Canaveral Air Force Station, died
Wednesday, May 17, at Holmes Regional Medical Center.
Mr. McDufford was born in Zenia, Ohio. He came to Brevard County in 1955 from Dayton, Ohio. He also worked as a foreman for Harris Corp. Mr. McDufford was an Army veteran of World War II. Survivors include his wife, Charlena McDufford of Palm Bay; stepdaughters, Shirley Briggs of Montgomery Valley, Md., and Ruth Story of Charlotte, N.C.; stepson, Donald Briggs of Rutland, Vt.; and several grandchildren. Calling hour will be from 11 a.m. to noon Saturday, with services following, at Wesley United Methodist Church in West Melbourne. Burial will be at Florida Memorial Gardens, north of Melbourne. Fountainhead Memorial Funeral Home in Palm Bay is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 1101 N. Lake Destiny Road, No. 415, Maitland, FL 32751-7105. |
