BUTTON MERRITT ISLAND -- Linda Ann Jean Button, 48, an orbiter integrity monitor, passed away Sunday, January 21, 2001, at her residence. Mrs. Button was born in Fitchburg, Mass. She came to Brevard County in 1991 from St. Petersburg, Fla. She was employed by United Space Alliance at Kennedy Space Center. Mrs. Button was a Catholic. Survivors include her daughter, Shannon McVey of Melbourne; son, John Button of Indialantic; brothers, Steven Jean and Leo Jean, both of St. Petersburg, and Michael Jean of Ohio; sister, Kathy Jenkinson of Cape Canaveral; grandson, James McVey III of Melbourne; and granddaughter, Olivia Button of Indialantic. She was preceded in death by her brother, Robert Jean, mother, Alice Jean, and aunt, Jean Engel. No calling hours are scheduled. Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m. tonight at WylieBaxley Merritt Island Funeral Home. Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. |
