MARGARET MYERS COCOA Margaret C. Myers, 89, passed away Wednesday, August 25, 2004, at her home in Cocoa. Margaret was the third child born to Anna (Persen) and John Rose on July 23, 1915 in Chica go. Her older brother, Ernest Rose and her older sister, Signe (Howard) Rose preceded her in death. Her younger sister, Anna Linowiecki of Hanover Park, Fla., survives her. Margaret married Wilbur (Bill) Myers on November 8, 1947. They lived in Holland, Mich. where Bill had an electrical busi ness. Due to a sudden illness, Margaret was advised to move to a warmer climate. So the newlyweds moved to Merritt Is land in 1948. Bill worked at vari ous jobs until eventually being hired at the Cape. Margaret also began working there in the Food Service department. She later would proudly tell of having had FBI clearance in order to serve meals to the astronauts and of being responsible for banquets during the Space Programs in fancy. She finished her working career as a manager of a Bur ger King, retiring in 1978. Bill died in June of 1989. Soon afterwards, Margaret moved to Lost Lakes Community in Cocoa and began a whole new life as an active participant in her neighborhood, church and traveling with new found friends. Her final wishes were to remain in her home until her end. That wish was made possible by her loving friends and family with the aid and support of Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice. A Memorial Service for Mar garet will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday, September 1, 2004 at the Merritt Island Presbyterian Church, 600 S. Tropical Trail.
