HARRIS COCOA -- Mr. Newton ''Ralph'' Harris was born on March 13, 1911, in Ada, Ala., to Mark and Willie Jane Harris. He passed away on Friday, November 24, 2000.  In
1942 he entered the Army to serve in World War II and was honorably
discharged on December 8, 1945. He met Missouri Pettiway, and they were
married on March 20, 1950. They moved to Florida in 1954. Mr. Harris
worked for Pan American at Cape Kennedy from 1956 until his retirement in
1978. A son, James Harris, three brothers and four sisters preceded him in
death. He leaves to mourn his passing, his loving wife,Missouri Harris;
one daughter, Nettie Jennings of Rockledge; one brother, James Harris of
Cocoa; one sister, Easter Sharpes of Chicago, Ill.; nine grandchildren; 34
great-grandchildren; 27 great-great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces,
nephews, cousins and many sorrowing friends. Calling hours will be from 3
to 5 p.m. and 7:30 to 8:30 p.m. Friday, at Stone Funeral Home. Funeral
services will be at 2 p.m. Saturday, at Mt. Moriah A.M.E. Church in Cocoa.
