GODWIN PORT ST. JOHN Peter H. Godwin, ETCS, USN Retired, 63, passed away on Wednesday, April 28, 2004 at Parrish Medical Center. 
Mr. Godwin was born on June 23, 1940 in St. Thomas U.S. Virgin Islands, and has lived in Brevard county since 1981. After retiring from the Navy, with 22 years of service in 1979 he worked in the aero space industry till 1993, and most recently for the Florida Department of Corrections Peter is survived by his wife of 18 years, Gracelyn; his chil dren, David Paul Godwin of Pinecrest, Jonathan Craig Godwin of Port St. John, Jeffery Wayne Godwin of Col orado Springs, Colo., Tamara Lee Godwin of Roseville, Calif., Kenneth W. Way of Titusville, and Edward P. Zoldak of Merritt Island; broth ers, Bill Godwin of Arlington, Texas, Robert Godwin of Bethany, La., and Richard Godwin of Shreveport, La.; and 11 grandchildren. Peter deeply loved his im mediate and extended family. He was preceded in death by his father, Robert Godwin; mother, Dorothy Ruth Godwin; and brother, Wayne Godwin. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m., on Friday at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home where a funeral service will be held at 3 p.m., on Saturday, May 1st, in the chapel. Burial will be at sea by the US Navy. |
