GUMP MERRITT ISLAND Ray Gump, 80, passed away on Wednesday, May 5, 2004 at Wuesthoff Hospital. Ray was born in Los Angeles, Calif., and has lived in Brevard County since 1959, He was a World War II Coast Guard Veteran. He retired in 1985 and has been working as an engineer in civil service for the U.S. Air Force at Kennedy Space Center. He will be missed by his fami ly and friends. His survivors include his wife of 43 years, Millie; sons, Steve and his fian ce, Julie Vann and her daugh ters, Hailey and Lacey Vann of Portland, Ore.; Scott and his wife, Christine and his grand daughter, Sarah of Windermere; and his sister, Gloria Smith of Indianapolis, Ind. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 8th, at Wylie-Baxley Merritt Island Funeral Home, where a funeral service will begin at 11 a.m., in the chapel. Interment will be at Florida Memorial Gardens in Rockledge. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Wuesthoff Brevard Hospice. |
