BACCA COCOA -- Raymond (Papa) Bacca, 73, was greeted by his wife, Irene (Bo), as he entered the gates of Heaven on Thursday,September 25, 2003. Raymond was born as the oldest son in Torrington, Conn., on January 6, 1930. Raymond served in the Air Force in Communications, at which time he met his wife of 53 years. They settled in Cleveland, Ohio until the early 1960's, when he moved his family to Florida, first to Ft.Myers, then to Cocoa. Over the years, Raymond owned his own TV Repair Shop, was a disc jockey, worked in sales, and retired as an electronics technician on the Apollo Program at Cape Kennedy. Raymond enjoyed being with his grandchildren. He is survived by his daughter, Debbie and son-inlaw, Milton Ambrose of Valrico, Fla.; son, Michael and daughter-in-law, Sharon Bacca of Oviedo, Fla.; grandchildren, Heather Ambrose, Brian Ambrose, JasonAmbrose, Sean Bacca and Jennifer Bacca. He is also survived by his two brothers, David Bacca, Richard Bacca, and their families. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, October 3rd at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Rockledge. Burial will follow at Florida Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Heart Association in memory of Raymond A. Bacca. Florida Memorial Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. |
