MERRIAM, Sr. TITUSVILLE Richard Keith Merriam, Sr., 84, died Thursday, April 15, 2004. Richard was born in North Hampton, Mass and spent his childhood in Orlando. He graduated from Orlando Senior High School in 1937. He was a Veteran of World War II in the Army Air Corps, and retired from Lockheed at Kennedy Space Center. Richard will be remembered for his honesty, quick wit, love of travel and baseball. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Merriam of Titusville; son, David Merriam of Lakeland and twins, Richard Merriam, Jr. and Nancy Bennett both of Orlando; step-children Bill Cooper of Pensacola, Dan Albert of Greenville, SC, and Mary Glenn of Orlando; 14 grandchildren; and four great- grandchildren. Memorial Services are 11:00 a.m. Thursday at Good Shephard Lutheran Church, Titusville. Interment will be Friday, April 23, 2004 at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Fla. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 4356 Fortune Place, Suite B, West Melbourne, FL 32904 or Hospice of St. Francis, P.O. Box 5563, Titusville, FL 32783.
