SR. MERRITT ISLAND -- Ronald G. Kennedy Sr., 57, a retired aerospace
encapsulation technician for Wang Global Inc. at Kennedy Space Center,
died Saturday, April 29, at Wuesthoff Hospital in Rockledge.
Mr. Kennedy was born in Washington, D.C. He came to Brevard County in 1980 from Daytona Beach. He retired in 1998 after 30 years of service with various companies at Kennedy Space Center. Mr. Kennedy was a member of Merritt Island Moose Lodge 2073, Merritt Island Elks Lodge 2650 and the National Rifle Association. He enjoyed boating. Survivors include his wife, Bertha Kennedy of Merritt Island; son, Ronald Kennedy Jr. of Merritt Island; daughter, Darlene Buccio of Sauderton, Pa.; brothers, Carl Kennedy of Daytona Beach, Randy Kennedy of Holly Hill and Russell Kennedy of South Daytona; sister, Carol-Ann Pottruff of Lake Mary; and seven grandchildren. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday, with services following, at Wylie-Baxley Funeral Home on Merritt Island.
