MATTHEWS TITUSVILLE - Sherrell "Matt"' Matthews, 85, a Quality Inspector, died Saturday, September 2nd, at Parrish Medical Center in Titusville. Mr. Matthews was born in Conway, Arkansas. He came to Brevard County in 1967 from Montana. He was a retired Civil Service Quality Inspector who worked at NASA. Mr. Matthews was a member of Indian River Methodist Church, a lifetime member of the VFW 4228 in Titusville, Masonic Lodge and 32nd Degree Shriner. He was a member of the Golfers and the Hillbillies in the Shrine. Mr. Matthews was an avid golfer and past member of the Space Coast Campers. Survivors include his daughter, Sharon Skinner of Titusville; son-in-law, David Skinner of Titusville; two grandsons, David Skinner II of Titusville and Craig Lockard of Houston, Texas; and brother, Pete Matthews of North Little Rock, Arkansas. Calling hours will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Brevard Memorial Funeral Home. Services will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Brevard Memorial Chapel. Burial will be at Brevard Memorial Park. Brevard Memorial Funeral Home in Frontenac is in charge of arrangements. Donations may be made to Shriner Burn Center, 3229 Burnet Avenue, Cincinnati, Ohio 45229-3095. |
