HILL TITUSVILLE -- Sidney (Sid) Phillip Hill, 83, died at home in Titusville, after a long illness. He was born in Latrobe, West Virginia and moved toTitusville in 1956.
During his life, he was a teacher, an electrician in the coal mines, and a
World War II veteran. He worked for 26 years as an electronics technician
for McDonnell-Douglas Aerospace, retiring in 1982. Mr. Hill was an active member of St. Teresa"s Parrish and
American Legion Post #1. After retirement, he enjoyed his gardening,
fishing, traveling, photography, and working with computers. He is
survived by his wife of 62 years, Mary Margarette; daughters, Betty
Fasnacht of Schenectady, NY, and Mary Cox of Titusville; son,Michael Hill
of Oak Hill; brothers, Franklin M. Hill, Millard F. Hill, and Joseph W.
Hill; and sister, Anna L. Moore, all of Titusville. He is also survived by
16 grandchildren; and five great grandchildren. He was loved andrespected
and will be missed by his family and friends. Calling hours will be from 6
to 8 p.m., Monday, January 29, 2001 at The North Brevard Funeral Home.
AFuneral Mass will be celebrated at 1 p.m. on Tuesday at St. Teresa"s
Catholic Church. Burial will be at the La Grange Cemetery. In lieu of
flowers, the family is requesting that donations may be made to Hospice of
St. Francis. |
