CLEARMAN HIGHLANDS, N.C. William T. Clearman, 84, active and fit, died in his sleep, Friday, April 30, 2004. He was Director of NASA's Saturn V Project Office for Apollo Moon Landing, and a long- time member of the United Methodist Church, Cocoa Beach. From Blakely, Ga., Bill gradu ated from Georgia Tech in 1942. He was active Navy in World War II in the Pacific, retired as Captain, USNR after 34 years. He moved in 2000 to Jasper, Ga., where his wife, Peggy died in 2003. Bill married Lorene Porter this February. He played tennis several times weekly. Survivors include children, Tom and Susan Clearman; wife, Lorene; and her daughters, Elizabeth Lattimore and Gloria Latham; and six grandchildren. A memorial service will be held at New Lebanon Presbyterian Church, Jasper, at 1 p.m., Friday, May 7th. |
