ROPER MELBOURNE -- William C. Roper, 82, aComputer Programmer, died Friday, November 3, 2000, at Holmes Regional Medical Center. Mr. Roper was born in Flint, Michigan. He came to Brevard County in 1957, from Michigan. He worked for RCA and PRC. He was a member of the PAFB Officers Club, Eau Gallie Yacht Club, and the Retired Officers Association.
Mr. Roper was a Retired Naval Lt. Commander, and a World War II Veteran.
Survivors include his sons, William C. Roper II of Cocoa, and Gregory
Brian Roper of Palm Bay, and daughter, Edith Horrell of Houston, Texas. He
is preceded in death by his wife of 59 years, Marguerite, and daughter,
Mary Lou. He has 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. Services
are Saturday, Nov. 18, at Holy Trinity Episcopal Church, at 11:00 a.m.,
with a reception to follow. In lieu of flowers donations to be made to
American Cancer Society. |
