 WILLIAM YOUNG, Sr.TITUSVILLE William Robert Bob Young, Sr., 75, died Thursday, April 8, 2004. Born in Baltimore, he served as a Navy pilot in World War II. In 1957 he moved to Brevard County to work in the space industry, retiring after 34 years. He is survived by his wife of 55 years, Jean; his children, Bill, Warren and Christine Dixon; his grandchildren, Michelle MacFarlane, Rob Young and Daniel Dixon; and two great-grand- children.  As an active Mason, he held many district and state offices and was a past Master of Indian River and Gateway Lodges. He was serving as the Grand Secretary/Recorder for Grand York Rite of Florida. His honors include 33rd degree, KYCH, KCCH. He was a past president of BAHIA and North Brevard Shrine Club and was instrumental in starting a crippled childrens clinic in Titusville. The viewing will be at North Brevard Funeral Home on Monday, April 12th, from 5 to 8 p.m. Services will be held Tuesday morning at 10:30 a.m., at Gateway Lodge. In lieu of flowers, donations should be made to your favorite charity in his name. North Brevard Funeral Home in Titusville is in charge of arrangements. |
