WILLIS WYNSROCKLEDGE Willis was born the seventh child, to Willis and Hettie Wyns, on Sep tember 25, 1935 in Rock ledge, Florida. Willis departed this life on Tuesday, August 10, 2004. Willis attended public schools in Cocoa graduating from Monroe High in 1953. After high school, he joined the Army and served for two years. Willis served as a paratrooper during his tour of duty. After the completion of his stint in the Army, he made his way to Tallahassee using his GI-bill education benefits to study Electrical Engineering at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University. After leaving FAMU, Willis joined the Martin Marietta team at what was Cape Canaveral Air Force Station. He retired from Martin in 1993, one employer for his entire adult working life. In retirement, Willis became a backyard farmer. He leaves to cherish loving memories of him one daughter, Katernia; two grandchildren, Sir and Karonia; a great grandson, Rhaumad all of Rockledge; three sisters, Ovieda Johnson of Cocoa, Bettye (Arthur) Roberson of Kileen Texas and Caroline (Dannie) Jackson of Green Acres, Florida; two brothers, Robert of Rockledge and Eugene (Lois) of Philadelphia, Pa; one sister-in-law, Julia (Raymond) Wyns; a very special friend and companion, Earnestine Aaron; a god-daugh ter, Nikki Young and her children, Tray and Kiarra; one uncle; two aunts; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, August 13th, at Zion Orthodox Primitive Baptist Church in Cocoa. Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, at the church. Buggs Funeral Home in Melbourne is in charge of arrangements. |
