RAYMOND CHRIST MERRITT ISLAND Raymond Gene Christ, 57 was healed and went home to be 
with the Lord Saturday morning, December 31, 2005. The time had come for his 
departure he had fought the good fight; he had finished the race, and had kept 
the faith. Ray was born July 17, 1948 in Chicago, IL to Gene and Pearl Christ. 
Ray was transferred to Brevard County in 1988 from Colorado to work in the 
aerospace industry. Before his disability in 2000 he had the privilege of 
working as Project Manager for Lockheed Martin with Atlas V Program. In 1992 Ray 
came to know the Lord Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior and that choice 
defined how he lived the remainder of his life. He is survived by his wife, 
Sally and daughter, Brittany of Merritt Island; sons, Kevin and Keith Christ of 
Omaha, NE, daughters, Monique Brun of Ft. Myers, FL and Michelle Brun of Mobile, 
AL; granddaughter, Briana Brun of Mobile; brother, Herb Brooks; and sisters, 
June Vopatak of Winter Garden, Phyllis Dillon of Clearwater, FL and Sue Ledvora 
of Clermont, FL. Visitation will be held Thursday, January 5th, from 5 to 7:30 
p.m., at Wylie-Baxley of Merritt Island and the Memorial Services will be 
January 6th at 3:30 p.m. at the Worship Center of First Baptist Church Merritt 
Is land located at the corner of SR 520 and SR 3. In lieu of flowers, the family 
has requested donations to a memorial fund at First Baptist Church Merritt 
Island for continuing his ministry to the transplant patients of Shands 
Hospital.
